Winter 2001: This is the planet 'Celtic Winter' by aktati
Download the planet fileClick to download the Celtic Winter Planet zip. ( 275kb ! tho'....... as it contains sliders )
That file just kept getting bigger ( 60MB! )....so I had to take away quite a lot of stuff : ( ....so no 3d models or plants I'm afraid.......sorry.)
You can click on the thumbnails to see the images enlarged.
I have not had time to make a really good new planet this month so Celtic Winter will stay here for a while, and I will look for new webspace and update my site with a new tutorial when the madness of my day job allows.

NEW webspace now at http://www.aktati.planetisp.co.uk

New Planets of the month for 2002 will be made with mjw 1.2 and found : HERE

Planet info: Green rushing waters, and velvet snow on soft grass, with craggy peaks and hidden chasms. The sky can rage with purple or pastel light or slip to a soft blue with swirling creamy clouds at all levels.
Hmmm....lots of work went into this even if I say so myself : ))....Still it's a large file and a bit liable to crash ; )

More Planets in the archive gallery......'Ceres' - the blue planet with a yellow filamentous surface lifeform.
....................................................'Sul Mare' - sun and sea with the 'lighter than air texture'.... : ))...and many others.
Now up : 'The Well of Souls'.......in the archive, a world inspired by my love of science fiction ( Read the book by Jack Chalker..it's really good ......)

Each blue moon I'll choose a new Planet of the month. One I've made myself , if it looks ok or is interesting, or one submitted by anyone.....you can send me the mjw.file as a zip or just give me the url to your site, and I can put up a thumbnail with the link to the planet on your site. The planet doesn't have to be world shakingly amazing or anything, we're most of us just starting out with this software and so I'll be pretty grateful if anyone takes part...it can be a work in progress, or something you'd just like to share. The truly weird of course is always welcome.
All submissions will be fully credited and you can add a description about your world and how you made it ( if you know! LOL)
